شهرزاد هاشمی چهار سال پیشتر همراه همسر و دخترش به کانادا مهاجرت کرد. او نقاش پتینه کار بود. همسرش در بانکی در اتاوا کار می کرد و مجبور شد به دلیل کاری، یک هفته زودتر به کانادا برگردد. خانم هاشمی به همراه دختر ش مایا زیبایی در سحرگاه ۱۸ دی ۱۳۹۸، در فاجعه ی پرواز PS752 از مسافران پرواز PS752 بودند، که با شلیک موشک های سپاه پاسداران در آسمان تهران سرنگون شد، و آنها همراه دیگر مسافران جان باختند.

She was a passenger on Ukraine International Airlines Flight PS752. On 8 January 2020, the aircraft, operating a scheduled passenger service from Tehran to Kyiv, was shot down shortly after takeoff by air defence missiles fired by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, killing all 176 people on board.
Shahrzad Hashemi immigrated to Canada four years earlier with her husband and daughter. She was a patina artist. Her husband worked at a bank in Ottawa and had to return to Canada one week earlier due to work commitments.
In the early hours of 8 January 2020, Mrs. Hashemi and her daughter, Maya Zibaei, were among the passengers aboard Ukraine International Airlines Flight PS752. The flight was shot down over Tehran by missiles fired by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and they were killed along with all the other passengers and crew on board.
