On 22 February 2026, an individual and their mother were detained by the Golestan Public Security and Intelligence Police. The arrest occurred during a memorial ceremony for one of the individuals who lost their lives in recent protests in Gorgan. The charges and current whereabouts of the detainees remain unclear.
In December 2025, the First Branch of the Revolutionary Court in Gorgan had sentenced this individual to six months of imprisonment on charges of "propaganda against the regime." An appeal hearing was scheduled for 24 February 2026.
In a previous case, the individual had been sentenced to ten months in prison and fined on charges such as "membership in opposition groups with the aim of disrupting security." However, the individual was either acquitted or had the sentence suspended upon appeal.
After searching the house, the forces detained Nirvana Torbati-Nejad and transferred her to one of the detention facilities of the Law Enforcement Intelligence Organization (FARAJA) in Gorgan.
در تاریخ ۳ اسفند ۱۴۰۴، وی به همراه مادرش توسط پلیس اطلاعات و امنیت عمومی گلستان بازداشت شدند. این بازداشت در مراسم چهلم یکی از کشته شدگان اعتراضات اخیر در گرگان رخ داده است. اتهامات و محل نگهداری فعلی این افراد نامشخص است.
در آذر ۱۴۰۴، شعبه اول دادگاه انقلاب گرگان این فرد را به اتهام «تبلیغ علیه رژیم» به 6 ماه حبس تعزیری محکوم کرده بود. جلسه تجدیدنظر برای ۵ اسفند ۱۴۰۴تعیین شده بود.
در پرونده ای قبلی، این فرد به اتهاماتی مانند «عضویت در گروه های مخالف رژیم با هدف اختلال در امنیت» به ۱۰ماه حبس و جریمه محکوم شده بود، اما در تجدیدنظر تبرئه یا تعلیق گردید.
نیروهای حکومتی پس از تفتیش منزل، نیروانا تربتی نژاد را بازداشت و به یکی از بازداشتگاه های سازمان اطلاعات فراجا در گرگان منتقل کردند.
