Parisa (Maryam) Jahani, Mother of Two, Killed by a Shot to the Head in Mashhad On January 8, 2026 (18 Dey), security forces of the Islamic Republic shot 32-year-old Parisa Jahani in the head. Her bloodied body was left on the ground in front of the Elahiyeh police station in Mashhad. Her family searched for four days before finally locating her body at Behesht-e Rezvan cemetery. Reports indicate that security agencies have since placed the family under intense pressure to falsely label her a "martyr" (a state-sanctioned term used to co-opt victims of state violence). Parisa was the mother of two children, aged 9 and 15.

Parisa Jahani was killed on 8 January 2026 after being shot by security forces in front of the Elahiyeh Police Station in Mashhad.

Her family found her body four days later at Behesht-e Rezvan Cemetery in Mashhad. According to reports, authorities pressured the family to declare her a "martyr." Parisa Jahani was the mother of two children, aged 9 and 15. Her death certificate listed the cause of death as "impact with hard objects."

خانواده وی پیکر او را چهار روز بعد در بهشت رضوان مشهد پیدا کردند. بنا بر گزارش ها، مقامات حکومتی خانواده را تحت فشار قرار داده اند تا او را «شهید» اعلام کنند.
پریسا جهانی مادر دو فرزند ۹ و ۱۵ ساله بود. در گواهی فوت این فرد، علت مرگ خوردن اجسام سخت ذکر شده است.
