Hassan Samakush, known as Hassan Daei, sustained severe injuries from a direct gunshot to the eye and head at close range on 8 January 2024. He remained in a coma for three days and passed away on 11 January 2024. The incident occurred in Babol, at the intersection of Shahrebani, near Police Station 13.
The gunshot wound to Hassan Samakush's eye resulted in significant brain hemorrhaging, leaving only a quarter of his brain intact. He was a real estate consultant and a father of two, recognized as a trusted figure in his community.
Reports indicate that he was shot in the head and eye during a demonstration. He was pulled from the crowd with difficulty, and a companion carried him on their shoulders while fleeing towards nearby alleys. During this time, an elderly woman opened her door and provided bandages and sterile gauze to help control the bleeding as they made their way to the nearest hospital.
Initially, he was taken to the 17 Shahrivar Medical Training Center in Marzikala, the closest medical facility to the incident. However, due to the center's specialization in women's health, he was not admitted. Consequently, he was transferred to Rouhani Hospital in Babol, a journey that took 20 minutes. He was admitted in critical condition with minimal vital signs and remained in a coma.

اصابت تیر ساچمه ای به چشم حسن سماکوش، که اهل بابل بود، منجر به خونریزی شدید مغزی شد و تنها یک چهارم از مغز او سالم باقی ماند. حسن سماکوش مشاور املاک و پدر دو فرزند بود و به عنوان یکی از چهره های معتمد و شناخته شده محله شناخته می شد.

ابتدا او را به مرکز آموزشی درمانی هفده شهریور مرزیکلا بردند که نزدیک ترین محل درمانی به حادثه بود، اما به دلیل تخصصی بودن این مرکز در زمینه زنان و زایمان، پذیرش نشد. در نتیجه، او را به بیمارستان روحانی بابل منتقل کردند. رسیدن به بیمارستان دوم ۲۰ دقیقه طول کشید. او با وضعیت بسیار وخیم و با کمترین علایم حیاتی بستری شد و در کما بود.
