Shahram Jamali was sentenced by the First Branch of the Revolutionary Court of Amol in Bahman of the previous year. He received a sentence of 7 months and 16 days for "propaganda against the regime" and 3 years, 6 months, and 1 day for "inciting people to murder with the intent to disrupt security," along with a 2-year travel ban.
On 25 Shahrivar 1404, he was arrested by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps intelligence forces at the Amol police checkpoint while returning from Tehran, without a judicial warrant. He was transferred to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps intelligence detention centre in Sari. He was eventually released temporarily on 16 Mehr of the same year after posting a substantial bail of 1 billion tomans. He also has a history of arrest during the "Woman, Life, Freedom" movement in 1401.
شهرام جمالی بهمن ماه سال گذشته توسط شعبه اول دادگاه انقلاب آمل از بابت اتهام «تبلیغ علیه نظام» به ۷ ماه و ۱۶ روز حبس و بابت «تحریک مردم به کشتار به قصد برهم زدن امنیت» به ۳ سال و ۶ ماه و ۱ روز حبس همراه با ۲ سال ممنوعیت خروج از کشور محکوم شده بود.
وی روز ۲۵ شهریور ۱۴۰۴ هنگام بازگشت از تهران در پلیس راه آمل توسط نیروهای اطلاعات سپاه بدون ارائه حکم قضایی بازداشت و به بازداشتگاه اطلاعات سپاه ساری منتقل شد. وی نهایتاً در ۱۶ مهرماه همان سال با تودیع وثیقه سنگین ۱ میلیارد تومانی موقتاً آزاد شده بود. وی در جریان جنبش «ژن، ژیان، ئازادی» در سال ۱۴۰۱ نیز سابقه بازداشت دارد.
