This resident of Ahvaz, who was detained by local intelligence forces on suspicion of possessing a weapon, has died under unclear circumstances while in custody. It has been reported that the individual was arrested on suspicion of carrying a weapon. However, after several days, the family was informed on 19 October 2022, of the death and asked to collect the body.
The forensic authorities reportedly stated that the cause of death was "kidney failure." Nevertheless, relatives believe that the kidney failure resulted from severe trauma. Additionally, the reason for the arrest, as presented by the security agency, has been questioned, with doubts expressed about the individual's involvement in possessing or carrying a weapon.
It has also been reported that the young man had no history of political activity and had not participated in recent protests.
