فرزاد ورمقانی، شهروند کرد از شهرستان سنقر و کلیایی در استان کرمانشاه، در شهر ری تهران بازداشت شده است و سرنوشت و محل نگهداری او همچنان نامعلوم است. بر اساس گزارش ها، فرزاد ورمقانی در تاریخ 29 شهریور 1401 در محل کار خود توسط نیروهای اطلاعاتی شهر ری بازداشت شده است. گفته شده است که خانواده او برای اطلاع از وضعیت وی به نهادهای امنیتی مراجعه کرده اند، اما تاکنون پاسخی دریافت نکرده اند. همچنین گزارش شده که بازداشت او به دلیل حمایت از اعتراضات مردمی در شبکه های اجتماعی صورت گرفته است.
