On Thursday, January 8, 2026, a Kurdish citizen named Mostafa Lotfi, married and father to a young child from Kermanshah province, lost his life due to direct gunfire from the suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran during public protests in Tehran.
Reports indicate that security agencies pressured the family of this Kurdish citizen to declare that he was killed by "the people" and to recognize him as a "government martyr," a demand that was met with the family's firm opposition and rejection.

طبق گزارشات دریافتینهادهای امنیتی جهت تحویل پیکر این شهروند کرد خانوادەاش را تحت فشار قرار داده بودند تا اعلام کنند وی توسط «مردم» کشته شده و او را به عنوان «شهید حکومتی» معرفی کنند فشاری که با مخالفت و رد صریح خانواده او مواجه شده است.
طبق گزارشات دریافتی؛ پیکر مصطفی لطفی در تاریخ ۲۲ دی ماە ۱۴۰۴ در آرامستان روستای «احمدآباد» از توابع شهرستان سنقر در استان کرمانشاه به خاک سپرده شد.
