In November 2022, Vahid Shadman, a photographer, journalist, and head of the Photographers Association in Qasr-e Shirin, was arrested following protests related to the fortieth day after Mahsa Amini's death. Reports indicate that security forces subjected him to physical assault.
On 27 October 2022, it was reported that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps intelligence forces raided Vahid Shadman's home without presenting a judicial warrant and arrested him. This arrest involved a confrontation with the intelligence officers.
It has also been reported that Mr. Shadman's arrest involved physical assault, and he was transferred to the Qasr-e Shirin intelligence building with his eyes and hands bound. It was stated that blows were delivered to his heart.
Reports suggest that the intelligence officers tortured this photographer and journalist along with twenty-eight other citizens. It was also stated that Vahid Shadman had informed the intelligence officers that he had undergone heart surgery, but security forces deliberately targeted his heart.
On 10 May, a hearing regarding the charges against Vahid Shadman was held at Branch 101 of the Qasr-e Shirin Criminal Court Two. The court accused him of disrupting public order, insulting officials, resisting law enforcement, and causing explosions and damage to public property. The charges were based on his documentation and dissemination of photos and videos related to the "Woman, Life, Freedom" protests.
در آبان ماه 1401، وحید شادمان، عکاس و خبرنگار و رئیس انجمن عکاسان شهرستان قصرشیرین، پس از اعتراضات مربوط به چهلم مهسا امینی بازداشت شد. گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که نیروهای امنیتی او را مورد ضرب و شتم قرار داده اند.
در پنجم آبان ماه 1401، گزارش شده است که نیروهای اطلاعات سپاه بدون ارائه حکم قضایی به منزل وحید شادمان یورش برده و او را بازداشت کردند. این بازداشت همراه با درگیری با مأموران اطلاعات سپاه بوده است.
همچنین گزارش شده است که بازداشت آقای شادمان با ضرب و شتم همراه بوده و او را با چشم و دست بسته به ساختمان اطلاعات سپاه قصرشیرین منتقل کرده اند. گفته شده است که ضرباتی به قلب او وارد شده است.
گزارش ها نشان می دهند که مأموران اطلاعات سپاه این عکاس خبرنگار را همراه با بیست و هشت شهروند دیگر شکنجه کرده اند. همچنین اعلام شده است که وحید شادمان به مأموران اطلاعات سپاه اعلام کرده بود که قلبش عمل شده است، اما نیروهای امنیتی عمداً ضربات را به قلب او وارد کرده اند.
در تاریخ بیستم اردیبهشت ماه، جلسه رسیدگی به اتهامات وحید شادمان در شعبه 101 دادگاه کیفری دو قصرشیرین برگزار شد. دادگاه او را به اخلال در نظم عمومی، توهین به مقامات، تمرد نسبت به مأمور قانون و انفجار و تخریب اموال عمومی متهم کرده است. مصداق اتهام او مستندسازی و پخش عکس و فیلم در رابطه با اعتراضات زن، زندگی، آزادی بوده است.
