At 9:00 AM on Thursday, July 20, 2023, Meysam Shirin, a civil activist residing in Urmia, the capital of West Azerbaijan Province, was arrested after security forces raided his home. He was taken to the prosecutor's office to open a judicial case and then transferred to the central prison of Urmia. Additionally, on Saturday, July 22, 2023, Rasoul Asadzadeh, a resident of Urmia, was arrested while visiting the prosecutor's office to post bail for Meysam Shirin's release.
A source close to Meysam Shirin's family told the Human Rights reporter in Iran: "Mr. Shirin was arrested around 9:00 AM after agents from the Urmia Intelligence Department visited his home, searched it, and confiscated his laptop and mobile phone. He was eventually taken to the interrogation branch of the Urmia Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office. After being charged with acting against national security, he was transferred to the quarantine section of the central prison of Urmia with a judicial order."
The informed source added: "For Mr. Shirin's temporary release, a bail of 200 million tomans was requested. However, on Saturday, July 22, 2023, while Mr. Rasoul Asadzadeh was at the interrogation branch to submit the 200 million toman bail for Mr. Meysam's temporary release, he was unexpectedly arrested on the prosecutor's order. His mobile phone was confiscated, and he was taken to an unknown location."
As of the time of this report, there is no information on the whereabouts or charges against Rasoul Asadzadeh.
It is worth mentioning that Meysam Shirin was previously arrested on November 16, 2022, during nationwide protests in Urmia. He was detained by security forces, who used violence and intimidation. After being transferred to a detention center of a security agency and undergoing interrogation and being charged, he was released on December 29, 2022, after posting a bail of 500 million tomans. The charges in Meysam Shirin's first case included disturbing public order by chanting subversive slogans.
به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، ساعت ۹ صبح پنجشنبه ۲۹ تیر ماه ۱۴۰۲، میثم شیرینی، فعال مدنی، ساکن ارومیه مرکز استان آذربایجان غربی، پس از یورش نیروهای امنیتی به منزل وی، بازداشت و برای تشکیل پرونده قضایی به دادسرا و سپس به زندان مرکزی ارومیه منتقل شد. همچنین، روز شنبه ۳۱ تیر ماه ۱۴۰۲، رسول اسدزاده، شهروند ساکن ارومیه، در حالی که برای تودیع سند جهت آزادی میثم شیرینی به دادسرا مراجعه کرده بود، بازداشت شد.
به نقل از یک منبع نزدیک به خانواده میثم شیرینی در گفتگو با گزارشگر حقوق بشر در ایران:”آقای شیرینی، حدود ساعت ۹ صبح پس از مراجعه ماموران اداره اطلاعات ارومیه به منزل به این فعال مدنی و تفتیش منزل و توقیف لپ تاپ و گوشی تلفن همراه اش، در نهایت بازداشت و به شعبه بازپرسی دادسرای عمومی و انقلای ارومیه منتقل و پس از تفهیم اتهام(اقدام علیه امنیت ملی) با صدور قرار قضایی به بند قرنطینه زندان مرکزی ارومیه منتقل شد.
این منبع مطلع در ادامه افزود:”برای آزادی موقت آقای شیرینی قرار وثیقه ای به مبلغ ۲۰۰ میلیون تومان درخواست شده ولی روز شنبه ۳۱ تیر ماه ۱۴۰۲، در حالی که آقای رسول اسدزاده، برای تسلیم وثیقه ۲۰۰ میلیون تومانی جهت آزادی موقت آقا میثم، به شعبه بازپرسی مراجعه کرده بود در اقدامی عجیب به دستور بازپرس، بازداشت و پس از توقیف گوشی تلفن همراه به مکان نامعلومی منتقل شد.
تا لحظه تنظیم این خبر، از مکان نگهداری و اتهامات منتسب شده به رسول اسدزاده، اطلاعی حاصل نشده است.
لازم به اشاره است، میثم شیرینی، پیش از این هم در تاریخ ۲۵ آبان ماه ۱۴۰۱، در جریان برگزاری اعتراضات سراسری در ارومیه مرکز استان آذربایجان غربی توام با ضرب و شتم و ارعاب توسط نیروهای امنیتی بازداشت و پس از انتقال به بازداشتگاه یکی از ارگانهای امنیتی و طی مراحل بازجویی ها و تفهیم اتهام، در تاریخ ۸ آذر ماه ۱۴۰۱، با تودیع وثیقه به مبلغ ۵۰۰ میلیون تومان آزاد شد.
اتهامات تفهیم شده به میثم شیرینی در پرونده اول این فعال مدنی(اخلال در نظم عمومی از طریق سر دادن شعارهای هنجارشکنانه) عنوان شده بود.
