علیرضا امجدیان ۱۹ ساله ۱۸ دی ۱۴۰۴ در جریان اعتراضات مردمی شهر ملارد استان تهران با شلیک سه گلوله جنگی از سوی نیروهای نظامیامنیتی جمهوری اسلامی کشته شد. بر اساس اطلاعات دریافتی پیکر او پس از مطالبه و پرداخت مبلغ ۲۵۰ میلیون تومان به نهادهای حکومتی به خانواده تحویل داده شد. همچنین از صدور مجوز دفن در آرامستان «بهشت ابراهیم» ملارد و برگزاری مراسم ختم عمومی جلوگیری به عمل آمد و مراسم خاکسپاری او به صورت محدود در شهر سنقر استان کرمانشاه برگزار شد. علیرضا از طریق میوه فروشی با وانت هزینه های زندگی خود و خانواده اش را تامین می کرد.
