On the evening of Thursday, March 28th 2026 (8 Farvardin 1405), he nwas arrested during a raid by government forces on his family home in Tehran.
During the arrest, government and security forces opened fire, as a result of which Mohammad Ebadi's hand was struck by a bullet.
Despite his critical physical condition following surgery, he has been transferred to an undisclosed location.
