براساس اطلاعات موجود، اصغر شاکری، پزشک محبوس در زندان وکیل آباد مشهد، اقدام به اعتصاب غذا کرده است. این پزشک در مراسم خسرو علیکردی، وکیل حقوق بشری که درگذشته است، در مشهد حضور داشته و در تاریخ 11 دی 1404 بازداشت و به زندان وکیل آباد منتقل شده است. او در اعتراض به بلاتکلیفی در وضعیت پرونده و تمدید مکرر قرار بازداشت، از 14 بهمن اقدام به اعتصاب غذا کرده است. اصغر شاکری مبتلا به دیابت است و اعتصاب غذا می تواند به سلامت او آسیب برساند. پیش از این، تعدادی از پزشکان در اعتراض به بازداشت و بلاتکلیفی او و نقض حقوق زندانیان، بیانیه ای صادر کرده و خواستار آزادی او و دیگر اعضای جامعه پزشکی و کادر درمان شده بودند که در جریان اعتراضات دی ماه 1404 بازداشت شده اند.

According to available information, Asghar Shakeri, a doctor imprisoned in Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad, has initiated a hunger strike. The doctor attended the ceremony of Khosrow Alikordi, a deceased human rights lawyer, in Mashhad and was arrested on 31 December 2025, subsequently being transferred to Vakilabad Prison. He began the hunger strike on 3 February in protest against the uncertainty of his case status and the repeated extension of his detention. Asghar Shakeri has diabetes, and the hunger strike could adversely affect his health. Previously, several doctors issued a statement protesting his detention and uncertainty, as well as the violation of prisoners' rights. They called for the release of Shakeri and other members of the medical community and healthcare staff who were arrested during the protests in December 2025.
