In the early hours of 1 July 2025, Kaveh Rahimi, a resident of Bukan in West Azerbaijan Province, was arrested by security forces. Reports indicate that the arrest took place at 3 a.m. following a raid on his home and was accompanied by violent behaviour.
Kaveh Rahimi has been transferred to the detention centre of the General Directorate of Intelligence of West Azerbaijan Province in the city of Urmia for interrogation and the formation of a legal case. Since his arrest, he has been denied contact with his family and access to legal representation.
Previously, on 28 September 2022, he was also arrested during events related to the Woman, Life, Freedom movement, and there was no news of him for some time.
در ساعات اولیه 10 تیر 1404، کاوه رحیمی، اهل شهرستان بوکان از توابع استان آذربایجان غربی، توسط نیروهای امنیتی دستگیر شد. گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که این دستگیری در ساعت 3 بامداد و پس از یورش نیروهای امنیتی به منزل وی انجام شده و با رفتار خشونت آمیز همراه بوده است.
کاوه رحیمی برای بازجویی و تشکیل پرونده قضایی به بازداشتگاه اداره کل اطلاعات استان آذربایجان غربی در شهر ارومیه منتقل شده است. از زمان دستگیری، وی از تماس با خانواده و دسترسی به وکیل محروم بوده است.
پیشتر در 6 مهر 1401 نیز در جریان رویدادهای مرتبط با زن، زندگی، آزادی دستگیر شده بود و تا مدتی از وی خبری نبود.
