On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, Mohammad Maleki, an online activist and manager of the Telegram channel "Javanane Mahallat Zanjan," residing in Zanjan province and a political prisoner, was released after completing his prison term.
After his release, this political prisoner announced on his personal page: "After enduring one month in solitary confinement, arrest, and interrogation, nine months in prison, and one month of semi-freedom with many restrictions, my sentence has ended with the announcement of the end of my conviction."
This resident of Zanjan province was arrested on January 6, 2024, following a summons to the first branch of the Enforcement of Judgments of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office of the province. He was transferred to Zanjan Central Prison to serve part of his total discretionary imprisonment and was later released with an electronic ankle bracelet after his request for supervised imprisonment was approved.
During the judicial process, he was sentenced by Judge Yadollah Taremi and Ali Khan Mohammadi, the advisor of the 11th branch of the Court of Appeals of the province, to 3 years and 7 months of discretionary imprisonment for "assembly and collusion with the intent to act against national security," 8 months for "propaganda activities against the regime," and 6 years and 1 day for "forming a group and gang with the intent to disrupt national security under the title of the Telegram channel Javanane Mahallat Zanjan." However, due to the lack of a criminal record, 5 years of his discretionary imprisonment was suspended.
Mohammad Maleki was arrested on September 19, 2022, by the intelligence agents of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the province. After being transferred to the detention center of the security agency and undergoing interrogation and indictment, he was released from Zanjan Central Prison on October 18, 2023, after posting a bail of 600 million tomans.

روز چهارشنبه ۱۸ مهر ماه ۱۴۰۳، محمد ملکی در پی اتمام دوران حبس آزاد شد.
به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، روز سه شنبه ۱۷ مهر ماه ۱۴۰۳، محمد ملکی، فعال فضای مجازی و مدیر کانال تلگرامی جوانان محلات زنجان ، ساکن استان زنجان و زندانی سیاسی، پس از اتمام دوران حبس تعزیری خود آزاد شد.
این زندانی سیاسی، پس از آزادی با اعلام خبر مذکور در صفحه شخصی خود نوشت:”بعد از تحمل ۱ماه انفرادی و بازداشت و بازجویی، تحمل ۹ ماه زندان و ۱ماه نظام نیمه آزادی که با محدودیت های زیادی همراه بود، با اعلام پایان محکومیت، حبس من به اتمام رسید.”
این شهروند ساکن استان زنجان، در تاریخ ۱۶ دی ماه ۱۴۰۲، در پی احضار به شعبه اول اجرای احکام دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب آن استان، بازداشت و برای تحمل بخشی از مجموع حبس تعزیری خود به زندان مرکزی زنجان، منتقل شده بود و پس از مدتی با توجه به تائید درخواست حبس تحت نظارت قضایی با نصب پابند الکترونیکی آزاد شده بود.
وی درمراحل دادرسی توسط یدالله طارمی ـ قاضی و علی خان محمدی ـ مستشار شعبه ۱۱ دادگاه تجدیدنظر آن استان، از بابت اتهام «اجتماع و تبانی به قصد اقدام علیه امنیت ملی» به تحمل ۳ سال و ۷ ماه حبس تعزیری، به اتهام «فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام» به تحمل ۸ ماه حبس تعزیری و از بابت اتهام «تشکیل گروه و دسته به قصد برهم زدن امنیت کشور تحت عنوان کانال تلگرامی جوانان محلات زنجان» هم به تحمل ۶ سال و ۱ روز حبس تعزیری محکوم شد اما با توجه فقدان سابقه کیفری متهم این پرونده، اجرای ۵ سال حبس تعزیری وی تعلیق شده بود.
محمد ملکی، در تاریخ ۲۸ شهریور ماه ۱۴۰۱، توسط ماموران اطلاعات سپاه پاسداران در آن استان، بازداشت و پس از انتقال به بازداشتگاه آن نهاد امنیتی و طی مراحل بازجویی ها و تفهیم اتهام، در تاریخ ۲۶ مهر ماه ۱۴۰۲، با تودیع وثیقه ای به مبلغ ۶۰۰میلیون تومان، از زندان مرکزی زنجان، آزاد شد.
