Younes Morami, an Azerbaijani activist in Tabriz, was arrested by security forces on 1 July 2025 and transferred to the Intelligence Office. During the arrest, officials searched his home and confiscated his mobile phone, laptop, and other digital devices. They also inspected the phone and laptop belonging to his daughter, Haleh Morami.
On 17 August 2025, Younes Morami was moved to the central prison of Tabriz, facing charges from Branch 15, including propaganda against the system and espionage. His family and close associates reported that they had not received any explanation or documentation regarding these charges.
Younes Morami has been held in a quarantine section of the central prison of Tabriz for nearly five months without clear legal justification, under restrictions that prevent visits and communication. His family has stated that they have not received accurate information about him since his arrest, and responsible authorities have not provided any details regarding his physical or mental condition or the circumstances of his detention.
On April 23, the final defense session of Younes Marami, a Azerbaijani activist, was held in the third branch of the Tabriz Revolutionary Court.
یونس مرامی، از فعالان آذربایجانی در تبریز، در تاریخ ۱۰ تیرماه ۱۴۰۴ توسط نیروهای امنیتی بازداشت و به اداره اطلاعات منتقل شد. در هنگام بازداشت، مأموران پس از تفتیش منزل، تلفن همراه، لپ تاپ و دیگر وسایل دیجیتال متعلق به یونس مرامی را ضبط کردند و همچنین گوشی و لپ تاپ متعلق به دختر او، هاله مرامی، را نیز بازرسی کردند.
یونس مرامی در تاریخ ۲۷ مردادماه ۱۴۰۴ به زندان مرکزی تبریز منتقل شد و با اتهاماتی از سوی شعبه ۱۵، از جمله تبلیغ علیه نظام و جاسوسی، مواجه گردید. خانواده و نزدیکان او اعلام کردند که هیچ توضیح یا مستندی درباره این اتهامات دریافت نکرده اند.
یونس مرامی نزدیک به پنج ماه است که بدون ارائه توضیح قانونی روشن، در وضعیت ممنوع الملاقات و ممنوع المکالمه در بند قرنطینه زندان مرکزی تبریز نگهداری می شود. خانواده مرامی اعلام کرده اند که از زمان بازداشت تاکنون اطلاعی دقیقی از او دریافت نکرده اند و نهادهای مسئول نیز اطلاعاتی درباره وضعیت جسمی، روحی یا شرایط نگهداری وی در اختیار آنان قرار نداده اند.
روز 3 اردیبهشت جلسه آخرین دفاع یونس مرامی، فعال ترک (آذربایجانی) در شعبه سوم دادگاه انقلاب تبریز برگزار شد.
