This Azerbaijani activist was arrested in Baharestan County on International Mother Language Day in February 2014. In 2016, he was sentenced by Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court of Baharestan County to imprisonment and exile. The verdict was later reduced by the Tehran Court of Appeals to two years of imprisonment and two years of exile to Darreh Shahr County.
On August 9, 2022, after appearing at Branch 2 of the Enforcement of Judgments Office of the Baharestan Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office, he was arrested. On the night of Thursday, August 12, he informed his family via a phone call about his transfer to the quarantine section of Hall 6, Ward 2 of the Greater Tehran Central Penitentiary.
He was eventually released from prison in September 2021 due to health conditions. However, in May 2023, he was summoned to the Baharestan Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office to enforce the exile sentence.

این فعال ترک (آذربایجانی) در روز جهانی زبان مادری در اسفند ماه سال ۱۳۹۲ در شهرستان بهارستان دستگیر شد. وی در سال ۱۳۹۵ توسط شعبه یک دادگاه انقلاب شهرستان بهارستان به تحمل حبس و تبعید محکوم و حکم صادره توسط دادگاه تجدید نظر تهران به دو سال حبس و دو سال تبعید به شهرستان دره شهر تقلیل یافت.
آقای آزاد در تاریخ ۱۸ مردادماه سال ۱۴۰۱، پس از حضور در شعبه ۲ اجرای احکام دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب بهارستان بازداشت و شب پنجشنبه ۲۱ مردادماه آن سال، طی یک تماس تلفنی با خانواده اش از انتقال خود به قرنطینه سالن ۶ تیپ ۲ زندان تهران بزرگ خبر داد.
وی نهایتا به دلیل شرایط جسمانی در تاریخ شهریور ۱۴۰۰ از زندان آزاد شد. اما در خرداد 1402 طی ابلاغیه ای جهت اجرای حکم تبعید به دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب شهرستان بهارستان احضار شد.
