On 10 January 2023, a lawyer named Enayatollah Karamati, who is a member of the Khorasan Razavi Judiciary Lawyers' Centre, was arrested at his home in Mashhad following a raid by security forces. He is currently held in Vakilabad Prison.
Available information indicates that this lawyer had previously been arrested during the "Woman, Life, Freedom" protests in 2022 for supporting protesters and detainees. He was tried on charges of assembly and collusion to act against national security and was sentenced to three months in prison.
A knowledgeable source has stated that the Khorasan Razavi Judiciary Lawyers' Centre did not renew Enayatollah Karamati's legal practice license. It has also been reported that the reason for his recent arrest is not yet clear, but it is unrelated to his previous case and he is likely facing new charges.
وکیل عنایت الله کراماتی، وکیل دادگستری و عضو مرکز وکلای قوه قضاییه خراسان رضوی، در تاریخ ۲۰ دی با حمله ماموران امنیتی به خانه اش در مشهد بازداشت و در حال حاضر در زندان وکیل آباد محبوس است.
اطلاعات موجود نشان می دهد که این وکیل پیش تر در جریان اعتراضات زن زندگی آزادی در سال ۱۴۰۱ به دلیل حمایت از معترضان و بازداشت شدگان بازداشت و به اتهام اجتماع و تبانی برای اقدام علیه امنیت ملی محاکمه و به ۳ ماه حبس محکوم شده بود.
یک منبع مطلع اعلام کرده است که مرکز وکلای قوه قضاییه خراسان رضوی امسال از تمدید پروانه وکالت عنایت الله کراماتی خودداری کرده بود. همچنین گفته شده است که دلیل بازداشت اخیر عنایت الله کراماتی هنوز مشخص نیست، اما ارتباطی با پرونده پیشین ندارد و احتمالاً با اتهامات جدیدی روبه رو شده است.
