According to reports, Vahid Hashemi, an Afghan citizen, was killed on the evening of 8 January 2026 in Tehranpars, Tehran, due to a direct shot from a live bullet by officers of the Islamic Republic. The bullet struck his left thigh, and he was transferred to a hospital two hours after the shooting, but he died due to bleeding.
In another report, it was stated that he was targeted by a live bullet on 202 Street in Tehranpars and was transferred to a hospital, where he was reportedly killed by a final shot.

در گزارش دیگری وی در خیابان ۲۰۲ فلکه تهرانپارس هدف شلیک گلوله جنگی قرار گرفت و به بیمارستان منتقل شد و در آنجا بوسیله تیر خلاص به قتل رسیده.
