محمدمهدی صفری در تاریخ 18 دی 1404 در اعتراضات میمند فارس به ضرب گلوله کشته شد. او در خیابان سپاه میمند فارس هدف شلیک مستقیم قرار گرفت و گلوله به قفسه سینه او اصابت کرد که منجر به خونریزی شدید و آسیب به ریه او شد. گزارش شده است که به دلیل شدت آسیب، امکان نجات او وجود نداشت و او در همان خیابان جان باخت. پیکر محمدمهدی در تاریخ 20 دی 1404 تحویل داده شد و در آرامستان میمند علیا به خاک سپرده شد.

Mohammad Mahdi Safari was killed by gunfire during protests in Meymand, Fars, on 8 January 2026. He was directly shot on Sepah Street in Meymand, Fars, with the bullet striking his chest, causing severe bleeding and damage to his lung. It was reported that due to the severity of the injury, he could not be saved and died on the same street. His body was handed over on 10 January 2026 and was buried in the Meymand Aliya cemetery.
