In November 2022, the eye of Raheleh Amiri, a psychologist, was targeted by security forces during nationwide protests. On her now-deleted Instagram account, she referred to her injured eye as a "document of honor." In another story, she wrote about hope: "I know life has become difficult, but don't burn the roots of hope in your heart. Let it stay green." Raheleh Amiri was among the first women to report injuries to her eyes during the recent protests. However, shortly after photos and accounts of victims of this type of crime by the Islamic Republic were published, she deleted her posts and later removed her entire Instagram account.
Some of her posts and stories continue to circulate on social media.
In June 2023, Raheleh Amiri announced her migration to Italy, sharing a video of her medical treatments and examinations accompanied by a song by Dariush with the lyrics "My eye, come help me," and wrote: "I will become green..."

چشم «راحله امیری»، روان شناس، در آبان ۱۴۰۱ و طی اعتراضات سراسری هدف شلیک نیروهای سرکوب قرار گرفت. او در اینستاگرام خود که حالا حذف شده است، از چشم آسیب دیده خود به عنوان «سند شرافت» یاد کرده بود.
او در استوری دیگری باز هم از امید، نوشته بود: «میدونم زندگی سخت شده، ولی ریشه امیدِ تو قلبت رو آتیش نزن. بذار سبز بمونه.»
راحله امیری از جمله نخستین زنانی است که درباره آسیب به چشم هایش طی اعتراضات اخیر اطلاع رسانی کرد. هرچند کمی بعد از منتشر شدن عکس ها و روایت های آسیب دیدگان این نوع از جنایت جمهوری اسلامی، او پست های صفحه خود را پاک کرد و کمی بعد کل صفحه اینستاگرام خود را از بین برد.
اگرچه همچنان برخی از پست ها و استوری های او در شبکه های اجتماعی دست به دست می شود.
راحله امیری، در خرداد 1402 از مهاجرت خود به ایتالیا خبر داد، ویدیویی از لحظاتی از رسیدگی پزشکی و معاینات خود با ترانه ای از داریوش با شعر «چشم من بیا منو یاری بکن» منتشر کرده و نوشت: «سبز خواهم شد...»
