Mehdi Ziaei a 17yearold teenager was shot and killed by security forces on Shalamcheh Street in Bandar Abbas on the evening of January 9 while riding his friends motorcycle.
According to the family Mehdi was riding in a car with one of his classmates who was also 17 years old when officers ordered them to stop. Due to fear the car did not stop and the officers opened fire. A bullet hit Mehdi in the lung. The driver fearing arrest did not take him to the hospital and Mehdi was taken home.
An hour later Mehdis parents took him to Shahid Mohammadi Hospital in Bandar Abbas. According to the family in the hospital and in their sons critical condition Mehdis father protested the shooting and got into a verbal altercation with the officers. Mehdis mother was threatened that if the protest continued her father would be arrested.
The family of the deceased teenager has announced that they have allowed the death certificate to be released despite pressure.
مهدی ضیایی نوجوان ۱۷ ساله شامگاه ۱۹ دی ماه در خیابان شلمچه بندرعباس با شلیک مستقیم نیروهای امنیتی و در حالی که سوار بر موتور دوستش بود هدف قرار گرفت و جان باخت.
طبق روایت خانواده مهدی به همراه یکی از همکلاسی هایش که او نیز ۱۷ ساله بوده سوار خودرو بوده که ماموران به آن ها دستور ایست می دهند. به دلیل ترس خودرو متوقف نمی شود و ماموران اقدام به تیراندازی می کنند. یک گلوله به ریه مهدی اصابت می کند. راننده از ترس بازداشت او را به بیمارستان منتقل نمی کند و مهدی به خانه رسانده می شود.
ساعتی بعد پدر و مادر مهدی او را به بیمارستان شهید محمدی بندرعباس منتقل می کنند. به گفته خانواده در بیمارستان و در شرایط بحرانی فرزندشان پدر مهدی به این شلیک اعتراض می کند و با ماموران درگیر لفظی می شود. مادر مهدی تهدید می شود که در صورت ادامه اعتراض پدر بازداشت خواهد شد.
خانواده این جان باخته نوجوان اعلام کرده اند با وجود فشارها اجازه انتشار گواهی فوت را داده اند.
