Recently, a verdict was issued by the Revolutionary Court of Shiraz and formally communicated to Mehran Ansari. According to the ruling, this attorney has been sentenced to one year of discretionary imprisonment on the charge of propaganda against the state.
He had previously been arrested by security forces in the city of Shiraz during last year’s nationwide protests. After the interrogation process was completed, he was eventually released on a temporary basis after one month of detention, upon posting bail set at 2 billion tomans, pending the conclusion of legal proceedings.
