The first arrest occurred in March 2018. In that case, a sentence of six years in prison was issued on charges including propaganda against the system and connections with the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran. In March 2020, following the outbreak of the coronavirus, the individual was released from prison.
On 22 May 2020, the individual was arrested again. During interrogations, there were reports of solitary confinement. There are reports indicating pressure on the family to accept the charges.
In a court session on 11 January 2021, a total sentence of ten years was issued: five years for conspiracy against national security and five years for membership in the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran.
It has been reported that the individual was held in Ward 4 of Evin Prison. In 2020, due to prison conditions, the individual contracted the coronavirus and experienced respiratory issues.
نخستین بازداشت در ماه مارس سال ۱۳۹۷ صورت گرفت. در آن پرونده، به شش سال زندان به اتهام هایی مانند تبلیغ علیه نظام و ارتباط با سازمان مجاهدین خلق ایران محکوم شد. در ماه مارس سال ۱۳۹۹، پس از شیوع ویروس کرونا، از زندان آزاد شد.
در تاریخ ۲ خرداد ۱۳۹۹ دوباره بازداشت شد. طی بازجویی ها، مدتی در سلول انفرادی نگهداری شد. گزارش هایی وجود دارد که بیانگر فشار بر خانواده او برای پذیرش اتهامات است.
در دادگاهی در تاریخ ۲۲ دی ۱۳۹۹، برای او مجموعاً ۱۰ سال زندان صادر شد: پنج سال به اتهام اجتماع و تبانی علیه امنیت ملی و پنج سال به اتهام عضویت در سازمان مجاهدین خلق ایران.
گزارش شده که در بند ۴ زندان اوین نگهداری می شد. در سال ۱۳۹۹ به دلیل شرایط زندان به ویروس کرونا مبتلا شد و مشکلات تنفسی پیدا کرد.
