Shahrokh Eghbali Bazft, born on 28 September 1960 and residing in Canada, had a passion for inventing and repairing household electrical devices from a young age. Following the onset of the revolution, he chose to continue his education abroad. He attended Oxford University and later immigrated to the United States. He studied at the University of Illinois, where he earned a master's degree in electronic electrical engineering with the highest honors and subsequently worked as the director of the electronic electrical laboratory at the same university. He later moved to Canada, where he worked in programming and information technology.
Shahrokh was among the passengers on Ukraine International Airlines Flight PS752, which was shot down shortly after takeoff on 8 January 2020 by surface-to-air missiles fired by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. He and all other passengers aboard were killed in the incident.
شاهرخ اقبالی بازفت متولد چهارشنبه ۶ مهر ۱۳۳۹(مقیم کانادا)، از کودکی عاشق اختراع و تعمیر وسایل برقی خانه بود.
در آغاز انقلاب راه ادامه تحصیل در خارج از ایران را برگزید. به آکسفورد رفت و به آمریکا مهاجرت نمود. در دانشگاه ایلینوی تحصیل کرد و فوق لیسانس مهندسی برق الکترونیک را با بالاترین نمره از این دانشگاه اخذ نمود و در همان دانشگاه به عنوان مدیر آزمایشگاه برق الکترونیک مشغول به کار شد. سپس به کانادا مهاجرت کرده، در زمینه برنامه نویسی و تکنولوژی اطلاعات مشغول به کار شد.
شاهرخ از مسافران پرواز PS752 خطوط هوایی بین المللی اوکراین بود که در ۱۸ دی ۱۳۹۸ اندکی پس از برخاستن توسط موشک های پدافند هوایی که توسط سپاه پاسداران انقلاب اسلامی شلیک شد سرنگون گردید و او و دیگر مسافران همگی کشته شدند.
