Behrouz Nikkhah, known among protesters as Behrouz Behyar, was a volunteer medic and newlywed who had been married for only 45 days. He lost his life on the night of January 9, 2023, in the city of Fardis, Karaj, while assisting the injured during protests. He was shot in the head.
Field reports and eyewitness testimony indicate that Behrouz Nikkhah was not engaged in any violent activity at the time he was shot and was solely providing aid to the injured. It is reported that he was targeted by a sniper.
Behrouz Nikkhah had previously volunteered to help the injured and affected during the nationwide protests of 2019 and 2022. According to those close to him, Nikkhah had been repeatedly threatened with arrest and even death by suppressive forces due to his humanitarian activities.

بهروز نیکخواه معروف به بهروز دیاموند و شناخته شده در میان معترضان با نام بهروز بهیار امدادگر داوطلب و تازه دامادی که تنها ۴۵ روز از ازدواجش می گذشت در شب خونین ۱۹ دی ماه در شهر فردیس کرج حین کمک رسانی به مجروحان اعتراضات با شلیک گلوله از ناحیه سر جان خود را از دست داد.
بر اساس گزارش های میدانی و شهادت شاهدان عینی بهروز نیکخواه در زمان اصابت گلوله هیچ گونه فعالیت خشونت آمیزی نداشته و صرفاً در حال امدادرسانی به مجروحان بوده است. گفته می شود وی هدف شلیک مستقیم یک تک تیرانداز قرار گرفته است.
بهروز نیکخواه پیش از این نیز در جریان اعتراضات سراسری سال های ۱۳۹۸ و ۱۴۰۱ به طور داوطلبانه به مجروحان و آسیب دیدگان کمک می کرد. به گفته نزدیکان او نیکخواه بارها به دلیل این فعالیت های انسان دوستانه از سوی نیروهای سرکوبگر تهدید به بازداشت و حتی مرگ شده بود.
