On Wednesday, December 25, 2024, security forces in the city of Ahvaz arrested Mostafa Helichi.
In recent days, Mostafa Helichi, son of Jamal, a poet and cultural activist residing in Ahvaz, the capital of Khuzestan province, was arrested by law enforcement officers.
The charge against Mostafa Helichi was stated as "connection with foreign media."
Additionally, Karim Dahimi, a human rights activist, reported that the family of Mr. Helichi made numerous efforts to find out his whereabouts and secure his release on bail, but due to inadequate responses, no information has been obtained about the status of this cultural activist.
It is worth mentioning that Mostafa Helichi was previously arrested by security forces in November 2020 and, after undergoing interrogation and investigation processes, was sentenced to two years of imprisonment. He was released from Sheiban Prison in Ahvaz after completing his sentence.
On Monday, January 6, 2025, Mostafa Helichi, born in 1989 and son of Jamal, who was detained at the Ahvaz Law Enforcement Intelligence Detention Center, was transferred to the quarantine ward of Sheiban Central Prison in Ahvaz after undergoing interrogation and being formally charged.

در تاریخ 17 دی 1403، گزارش شده است که مصطفی هلیچی پس از طی مراحل بازجویی و تفهیم اتهام، به بند قرنطینه زندان شیبان مرکزی اهواز منتقل شده است.
