Nastaran Zare Manesh, a resident of Tehran, passed away on 8 January 2026 during public protests in the Naziabad area. It was reported that she was struck by two bullets in the neck and heart due to direct fire from government forces. After being shot, she was transported by car to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries en route.
Nastaran was the mother of a daughter and a son.
