Reza Kushkinezhad

According to reports, on 6 June 2023, Reza Koushki Nejad, a former military member, was arrested by government forces and transferred to an undisclosed location. It has been stated that he was detained during the funeral ceremony of Mansoureh Segvand.

Previously, on 29 September 2022, Reza Koushki Nejad had expressed support for protesters in a video, after which he was detained for approximately twenty days and suspended from work for three months. Additionally, when protesters in Abdanan sought refuge at the city's air defence, he prevented government forces from entering and was detained for about a month in Parsilou and Ilam prisons. Ultimately, he was dismissed from the military.

He was arrested again on 28 September 2025 and released from Khorramabad Central Prison on 7 October of the same year. He faced charges of promoting opposition groups and was summoned to the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office in Pol-e Dokhtar on 11 October.

The court session to address his charges was held on 30 April 2026. The first branch of the Khorramabad Revolutionary Court sentenced him to one year in prison and two years of exile to Birjand for charges of propaganda against the regime and publishing content contrary to public decency. As an additional punishment, he was ordered to study and review documents related to the SAVAK's history and submit a handwritten report to the Khorramabad Enforcement Branch. This verdict was issued and communicated to him on 2 May.
