بهمن جوانی اهل مهاباد است. او سرباز نیروی انتظامی بود و برای مرخصی به خانه آمده بود. به دلیل خیزش انقلابی مردم ایران و آسیب دیدن چشمش، به محل خدمت بازنگشت. در هجدهم مهرماه ۱۴۰۱ ، از فاصله حدود سه متری با گلوله ساچمه ای به صورت او شلیک شد که در پی آن، چشم راست او به شدت آسیب دید و تا کنون سه بار تحت عمل جراحی قرار گرفته است. با وجود آسیب دیدگی چشم و غیبت او، نظام وظیفه حکم بر فراری بودن او داده است. او ورزشکار است و در رشته های کیک بوکسینگ و فوتبال فعال بوده است. همچنین، مقامی در رشته شنا دارد که متاسفانه پس از این آسیب دیدگی از ورزش دور مانده است.

Bahman Javani is from Mahabad and served as a police officer. He returned home on leave but did not return to his duty station due to the ongoing revolutionary movement in Iran and an injury to his eye. On 23 September 2022, he was shot in the face with a pellet gun from a distance of approximately three meters, resulting in severe damage to his right eye. He has undergone three surgeries to date and has one more surgery planned. Despite his eye injury and absence, military authorities have declared him a deserter. He is an athlete, having been active in kickboxing and football, and he holds a title in swimming; however, he has been unable to participate in sports following his injury.
