اشکان هادی اصانلو، تک فرزند خانواده، یکی از کشته شدگان اعتراضات بوده است. او در تاریخ 19 دی در اعتراضات شرکت کرده بود. گزارش شده است که در جریان شلوغی، گاز اشک آور استفاده شد و اشکان و دوستانش از هم جدا شدند. اشکان در یکی از کوچه های محله پیروزی گیر افتاده و با تفنگ ساچمه ای از فاصله نزدیک به قفسه سینه اش شلیک شده است. بر اساس گزارش های پزشکی، حدود ۶۰ ساچمه در قفسه سینه او بوده است. همچنین گزارش شده که برای اطمینان از مرگ او، رگ گردنش با سلاح بریده شده است. پیکر اشکان توسط نزدیکانش از روی تصاویری که روی مانیتور سردخانه کهریزک نمایش داده می شد، شناسایی شد. خانواده اشکان پس از خاکسپاری او، در تاریخ 25 دی 1404 مراسمی برای او برگزار کردند.

Ashkan Hadi Asanlou, the only child of his family, was among those who lost their lives during the protests. He participated in the protests on 9 January 2026. It has been reported that during the commotion, tear gas was used, and Ashkan became separated from his friends. He was trapped in an alley in the Piroozi neighbourhood and was shot at close range in the chest with a pellet gun. Medical reports indicated that approximately 60 pellets were lodged in his chest. It was also reported that to ensure his death, his neck artery was cut with a weapon. Ashkan's body was identified by his relatives through images displayed on a monitor at the Kahrizak morgue. After his burial, Ashkan's family held a ceremony for him on 15 January 2026.
