On September 16, 2023, Sazina Jahani was arrested by security officers in Shahriar County. After being transferred to Tehran and the Ministry of Intelligence's security ward located in Evin Prison, and undergoing interrogation and being charged at the interrogation branch, she was eventually moved to Qarchak Varamin Prison. On November 4, 2023, she was released on bail until the completion of the judicial proceedings.
As the judicial proceedings began, Sarina Jahani was tried by a judge at the Revolutionary Court and was later sentenced to two years of imprisonment on charges of "assembly and collusion with the intent to disrupt national security."
After the completion of judicial proceedings and the referral of Sarina Jahani's case to the enforcement branch, on February 6, 2024, she received a summons to serve her prison sentence. Following her arrest, she was transferred to Evin Prison.

در تاریخ ۲۵ شهریور ماه ۱۴۰۲، سازینا جهانی، توسط ماموزان امنیتی در شهرستان شهریار، دستگیر و پس از انتقال به تهران و بند امنیتی وزارت اطلاعات واقع در زندان اوین و طی مراحل بازجویی ها و تفهیم اتهام در شعبه بازپرسی در نهایت به زندان قرچک ورامین، منتقل و در تاریخ ۱۳ آبان ماه ۱۴۰۲ با تودیع وثیقه تا اتمام مراحل دادرسی آزاد شد.
با آغاز مراحل دادرسی، سارینا جهانی، توسط قاضی شعبه دادگاه انقلاب، محاکمه و چندی بعد از بابت اتهام «اجتماع و تبانی به قصد برهم زدن امنیت کشور» به تحمل ۲ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شده بود.
پس از اتمام مراحل دادرسی و ارجاع پرونده سارینا جهانی به شعبه اجرای احکام، در تاریخ ۱۷ بهمن ماه ۱۴۰۲، با دریافت ابلاغیه ای برای سپری کردن دوران محکومیت تعزیری خود احضار و پس از بازداشت به زندان اوین منتقل شد.
