Ali Rezaei Havastan, born in 1983, an IT engineer, international yoga instructor, and Turkish language teacher, was sentenced to five years in prison for assembly and collusion, the highest sentence given, and one year for propaganda against the regime after nearly seven months of temporary detention in the preliminary court presided over by Judge Salavati.
Ali was arrested on December 11, 2022, when plainclothes officers raided his home, seizing all his digital devices, including his laptop, phone, hard drive, and other belongings, on charges of assembly and collusion. He was arrested at home and had not participated in any gatherings, only expressing support for protests in Iran and opposition to violence against people through social media posts and stories. There is no evidence of his participation in any gatherings.
Judge Salavati has not allowed a lawyer access to the case and concluded it in an unfair trial without legal representation or allowing Ali to defend himself, issuing a one-sided verdict. He has also denied Ali's family the opportunity to speak or enter his office, threatening them with arrest. On January 4, Ali was granted bail, but it was never approved.

علی رضایی هاواستان متولد 1362، مهندس آی تی، مربی بین المللی یوگا و مدرس زبان ترکی استانبولی، پس از گذشت نزدیک به ۷ ماه بازداشت موقت در دادگاه بدوی به ریاست قاضی صلواتی، به ۵ سال حبس به اتهام اجتماع و تبانی بالاترین میزان حکم تعیین شده و یک سال حبس به اتهام تبلیغ علیه نظام محکوم شد.
علی در ۲۰ آذر ۱۴۰۱ با یورش ماموران لباس شخصی به منزل وی بازداشت شده و تمام لوازم دیجیتال او از جمله لپ تاپ، گوشی، هارد و دیگر وسایل وی ضبط شده است. به اتهام اجتماع و تبانی. در صورتی که وی در منزل بازداشت شده و در تجمعات شرکت نداشته و فقط در فضای مجازی با گذاشتن پست و استوری در حمایت از اعتراضات مردم ایران و در مخالفت با خشونت علیه مردم بوده و هیچ گونه مدرکی دال بر شرکت وی در تجمع وجود ندارد.
قاضی صلواتی تا کنون اجازه ورود و دسترسی وکیل را به پرونده نداده و در یک دادگاه نا عادلانه بدون داشتن وکیل و بدون اینکه اجازه دفاع به علی را بدهد پرونده را مختومه و حکم یک طرفه صادر کرده است. او حتی اجازه صحبت خانواده علی و ورود به دفتر خودش را هم تا کنون نداده و آنها را تهدید به بازداشت کرده است. او در تاریخ ۱۴ دی ماه وثیقه شده و جلوی وثیقه وی باز است ولی هیچ وقت با وثیقه کردن او موافقت نشده.
روز چهارشنبه ۳۱ خرداد حکم علی رضایی در دادگاه به وی ابلاغ شد.
علی رضایی در دوران بازداشت بارها برای بازجویی به انفرادی و بند ۲۰۹ زندان اوین منتقل شده و تحت شدیدترین فشارهای روانی قرار گرفته بود.
