Atefeh Tajik was arrested on 31 March 2026 and subsequently transferred to Qarchak Varamin Prison. She was sentenced to a total of five years and one month in prison by Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Iman Afshari, on charges of "supporting the country of Israel" and "propaganda against the regime."
Atefeh Tajik, who is suffering from bone marrow cancer, was granted medical leave. This leave was granted on 19 October 2026, with bail, from Qarchak Varamin Prison.
عاطفه تاجیک در تاریخ ۱۲ فروردین ماه ۱۴۰۵ بازداشت و سپس به زندان قرچک ورامین منتقل شد. او از بابت اتهامات «حمایت از کشور اسرائیل» و «تبلیغ علیه نظام» توسط شعبه ۲۶ دادگاه انقلاب تهران به ریاست قاضی ایمان افشاری مجموعاً به تحمل پنج سال و یک ماه حبس محکوم شده است.
عاطفه تاجیک به مرخصی درمانی اعزام شد. اعزام به مرخصی این زندانی سیاسی مبتلا به بیماری سرطان مغز استخوان، دوشنبه ۲۷ مهرماه ۱۴۰۵ با سپردن وثیقه و از زندان قرچک ورامین صورت گرفته است.
