Jamileh Shafiei, born in 1959, was killed during nationwide protests in Shazand, Arak, on 9 January. During street protests on Hepco Street in Arak, she positioned herself between security forces and young protesters to protect them, acting as a human shield. She was fatally shot at close range in the head and upper body. This incident was documented by eyewitnesses and videos shared on social media. Following her death, security agencies reportedly threatened and detained family members to prevent the official announcement of her death and the holding of a memorial service. Jamileh Shafiei's burial was delayed for several days and conducted secretly at night in the special section, row 18, of Arak Cemetery to prevent gatherings and the memorial from turning into a protest march. This pattern mirrors the pressures applied to other families of those killed in the 2025 uprising and is part of a strategy to suppress information dissemination. Media outlets and social networks have honoured her memory as the "Mother of the Uprising Martyr," and videos of her death have become a symbol of the resistance of older generations alongside the youth.
جمیله شفیعی، (زاده ۱۳۳۸ در اعتراضات سراسری دیماه در 19 دی ماه در شازند اراک کشته شد.
جمیله شفیعی در حین اعتراضات خیابانی در خیابان هپکوی اراک، خود را میان نیروهای سرکوبگر و جوانان معترض قرار داد تا از آن ها حفاظت کند و نقش سپر انسانی ایفا نمود.
او بر اثر شلیک مستقیم گلوله جنگی از فاصله نزدیک به ناحیه سر و بالاتنه هدف قرار گرفت و در دم جان باخت. این واقعه توسط شاهدان عینی و ویدیوهای ضمیمه شده در شبکه های اجتماعی ثبت شده است.
پس از کشته شدن، نهادهای امنیتی با تهدید و بازداشت اعضای خانواده، از انتشار رسمی خبر و برگزاری مراسم ختم جلوگیری کردند.
تدفین جمیله شفیعی با تأخیر چندروزه و به صورت شبانه و پنهانی در آرامستان اراک، قطعه ۱۲ ویژه، ردیف ۱۸ انجام شد تا از هرگونه تجمع و تبدیل شدن مراسم به راهپیمایی اعتراضی جلوگیری شود.
این الگو، مشابه فشارهایی است که بر خانواده های دیگر کشته شدگان قیام ۱۴۰۴ اعمال شده و بخشی از استراتژی سرکوب اطلاع رسانی است.
رسانه ها و شبکه های اجتماعی، یاد او را به عنوان "مادر شهید قیام" گرامی داشته اند و ویدیوهای کشته شدنش به نمادی از مقاومت نسل های قدیمی در کنار جوانان تبدیل شده است.
