Sheikh Ahmad Sayyad-known as Molavi Ahmad Mirin-was a prominent Baluch Sunni cleric.
In 1995, after a fifty-day stay, he boarded a flight from Dubai bound for Bandar Abbas;
upon arrival, he was detained by intelligence agents at the airport, and a few days later,
his body was discovered in the city of Minab, near the traffic circle where travelers heading to the town of Jask typically board vehicles.
