Idris Faqihi has been in an unclear situation for nearly four years, with concerns raised by his family and human rights defenders regarding the lack of transparent information about his status. On 17 November 2025, a media outlet reported that the third anniversary of the arbitrary detention and enforced disappearance of Idris Faqihi, a member of the Free Life Party of Kurdistan, by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had occurred. The mother of this political prisoner stated that security agencies of the Islamic Republic have hidden her son for three years and that recently, agents from the Ministry of Intelligence informed her via phone that he is alive, but no information about his fate was provided.
Idris Faqihi disappeared on 24 July 2021 in a village in the Boukan County after being injured by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Over the past three years, his family has repeatedly visited the detention center of the Revolutionary Guard's Intelligence Organization but has not received any precise information regarding his fate.
On the third anniversary of her son's detention and disappearance, Idris Faqihi's mother released a video stating that security agencies contacted her and confirmed that her son is alive, but no further information was given. She also mentioned her health issues and called for accountability from human rights organizations.
This 67-year-old mother has been detained twice while protesting in front of the Revolutionary Guard's Intelligence Organization building in Urmia and was released after signing a written commitment not to pursue her son's fate. She was detained on 8 May 2023 after a three-day sit-in in front of the building and was handed over to the welfare organization of the city. She was released on 10 May after signing a written commitment not to protest again.
Earlier, on 21 February 2022, several family members of Idris Faqihi gathered in front of the Revolutionary Guard's Intelligence Organization building in Urmia to demand information about his status. However, security and law enforcement agents present at the scene did not respond to the family's requests and detained Idris's mother along with several other family members for several hours.
As three years have passed since the arbitrary detention and disappearance of Idris Faqihi, concerns about his status and fate have increased. It is reported that he remains in the custody of the Revolutionary Guard's Intelligence Organization and is held in one of its security detention centers in Urmia.
In September 2022, Idris Faqihi's mother was summoned to the news headquarters of the Sanandaj Intelligence Department and was interrogated for several hours regarding a video she released on the first anniversary of her son's disappearance. Interrogators warned her that she had no right to wear a white scarf or travel to Urmia to inquire about her son's fate.
On 9 September 2022, Amnesty International issued a statement indicating that prosecutors and security agents in West Azerbaijan Province had forcibly disappeared Idris Faqihi, a Kurdish political opponent, since early August 2021.
During this period, agents of the Revolutionary Guard's Intelligence Organization and the Urmia court have repeatedly provided contradictory scenarios in response to the family's requests for information about Idris Faqihi's fate. Initially, they claimed that Idris had been killed during a shooting by the Revolutionary Guard and that they would send photos of his body and a death certificate to the family, but no evidence has been provided to date.
In March 2022, after the brief detention of Idris Faqihi's family in front of the Revolutionary Guard's Intelligence Organization, an agent in civilian clothes associated with the Revolutionary Guard met with the family and informed them that Idris is alive and being held in the Revolutionary Guard's detention center.
Additionally, in May 2022, a prosecutor from Branch 6 of the Urmia Public and Revolutionary Court made contradictory statements to Idris Faqihi's family, claiming that he had escaped after a confrontation with the Revolutionary Guard and had been killed in clashes between Kurdish forces and ISIS in Syria.
The confirmation and denial of Idris Faqihi's detention by security agents of the Revolutionary Guard's Intelligence Organization come as the Kurdistan Human Rights Network reported on 28 September 2021 that it had obtained evidence indicating that this member of the Free Life Party of Kurdistan is alive and being held in the Revolutionary Guard's detention center in Urmia.
According to investigations by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network, Idris Faqihi was shot in the leg by Revolutionary Guard forces but managed to hide. He was detained by the Revolutionary Guard while injured.
On 24 July 2021, a group of members of the Free Life Party of Kurdistan was ambushed by the Hamzeh Seyyed al-Shuhada Corps of the Revolutionary Guard in the mountainous heights of the Alimabad village in Boukan. On 26 July, a state news agency reported the deaths of two members of a Kurdish party and the detention of an injured member of this party. The Free Life Party of Kurdistan announced on 6 August the deaths of two of its members, Idris Faqihi and Mohsen Ghaderi, but later reported the survival of Mohsen Ghaderi and the detention of Idris Faqihi.
ادریس فقیهی از جمله افرادی است که نزدیک به چهار سال در وضعیت نامشخصی قرار دارد و خانواده و مدافعان حقوق بشر از فقدان اطلاع رسانی شفاف درباره موقعیت او ابراز نگرانی کرده اند. در تاریخ ۲۶ آبان ۱۴۰۴، رسانه ای گزارش داد که سومین سالگرد بازداشت و ناپدیدسازی قهری ادریس فقیهی، عضو حیات آزاد کردستان پژاک، توسط نیروهای سپاه پاسداران است. مادر این زندانی سیاسی اعلام کرده است که نهادهای امنیتی جمهوری اسلامی سه سال است که فرزندش را پنهان کرده اند و اخیراً ماموران وزارت اطلاعات در تماسی تلفنی از زنده بودن او خبر داده اند، اما اطلاعی در مورد سرنوشت او ارائه نکرده اند.
خانواده ادریس فقیهی که در تاریخ ۲ مرداد ۱۴۰۰ در یکی از روستاهای شهرستان بوکان پس از زخمی شدن از سوی سپاه پاسداران ناپدید شد، در طول سه سال گذشته بارها به بازداشتگاه سازمان اطلاعات سپاه پاسداران مراجعه کرده اند، اما تاکنون اطلاعی دقیق در خصوص سرنوشت او دریافت نکرده اند.
مادر ادریس فقیهی در سومین سالگرد بازداشت و ناپدیدسازی فرزندش با انتشار ویدیویی اعلام کرده است که نهادهای امنیتی با او تماس گرفته و گفته اند که فرزندش زنده است، اما هیچ اطلاعاتی در مورد او ارائه نکرده اند. او همچنین به مشکلات سلامتی خود اشاره کرده و خواستار پاسخگویی نهادهای حقوق بشری شده است.
مادرش در این مدت دو بار به دنبال تحصن در مقابل ساختمان سازمان اطلاعات سپاه ارومیه بازداشت شده و با تعهد کتبی مبنی بر عدم پیگیری سرنوشت فرزندش آزاد شده است. وی در تاریخ ۱۹ اردیبهشت ۱۴۰۲ پس از تحصن سه روزه در مقابل ساختمان سازمان اطلاعات سپاه ارومیه بازداشت و به بهزیستی این شهر تحویل داده شده بود. او در تاریخ ۲۱ اردیبهشت با تعهد کتبی مبنی بر عدم تحصن دوباره آزاد شد.
پیشتر، در تاریخ ۲ اسفند ۱۴۰۰، تعدادی از اعضای خانواده ادریس فقیهی با تجمع در مقابل ساختمان سازمان اطلاعات سپاه پاسداران ارومیه خواهان اطلاع از وضعیت او شده بودند، اما ماموران امنیتی و انتظامی حاضر در محل به درخواست این خانواده توجه نکرده و مادر ادریس را به همراه چند تن دیگر از اعضای خانواده به مدت چند ساعت بازداشت کردند.
با گذشت سه سال از بازداشت و ناپدیدسازی قهری ادریس فقیهی، نگرانی ها نسبت به وضعیت و سرنوشت او افزایش یافته است. گفته می شود که او همچنان در اختیار سازمان اطلاعات سپاه پاسداران قرار دارد و در یکی از بازداشتگاه های امنیتی این نهاد نظامی در ارومیه به سر می برد.
در شهریور ۱۴۰۱، مادر ادریس فقیهی به ستاد خبری اداره اطلاعات سنندج احضار و به مدت چندین ساعت در خصوص انتشار ویدیویی از او که در یکمین سالگرد ناپدیدسازی فرزندش منتشر شده بود، مورد بازجویی قرار گرفت. بازجویان به او هشدار داده اند که حق استفاده از روسری سفید و سفر به ارومیه برای کسب اطلاع از سرنوشت فرزندش را ندارد.
در تاریخ ۱۸ شهریور ۱۴۰۱، سازمان عفو بین الملل با انتشار بیانیه ای اعلام کرد که مقامات دادستانی و مأموران امنیتی و اطلاعاتی در استان آذربایجان غربی از اوایل مرداد ۱۴۰۰، ادریس فقیهی، مخالف سیاسی کُرد را قهراً ناپدید کرده اند.
در این مدت، ماموران سازمان اطلاعات سپاه پاسداران و دادگاه ارومیه هر بار در پاسخ به خواسته های خانواده ادریس فقیهی برای کسب اطلاع از سرنوشت او سناریوهای متناقضی را مطرح کرده اند. ابتدا اعلام کرده بودند که ادریس در جریان تیراندازی نیروهای سپاه پاسداران کشته شده و عکس جسد و گواهی فوت او را برای خانواده ارسال خواهند کرد، اما تاکنون هیچ مدرکی در این خصوص ارائه نشده است.
در اسفند ۱۴۰۱، پس از بازداشت چند ساعته خانواده ادریس فقیهی در مقابل سازمان اطلاعات سپاه پاسداران، یکی از ماموران لباس شخصی وابسته به سازمان اطلاعات سپاه با این خانواده ملاقاتی داشته و به آنها اعلام کرده که ادریس زنده است و در بازداشتگاه سازمان اطلاعات سپاه نگهداری می شود.
همچنین در اردیبهشت ۱۴۰۲، بازپرس شعبه ۶ دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب ارومیه در اظهاراتی متناقض به خانواده ادریس فقیهی اعلام کرده بود که او پس از درگیری با سپاه پاسداران موفق به فرار شده و در درگیری نیروهای کُرد علیه داعش در سوریه کشته شده است.
تایید و تکذیب بازداشت ادریس فقیهی از سوی ماموران امنیتی سازمان اطلاعات سپاه پاسداران در حالی است که شبکه حقوق بشر کردستان در تاریخ ۶ مهر ۱۴۰۰ با انتشار گزارشی اعلام کرد که به شواهدی دست یافته که نشان می دهد این عضو حزب حیات آزاد کردستان پژاک زنده است و در بازداشتگاه سازمان اطلاعات سپاه پاسداران ارومیه نگهداری می شود.
بر اساس تحقیقات شبکه حقوق بشر کردستان، ادریس فقیهی پس از تیراندازی نیروهای سپاه از ناحیه پا مورد اصابت گلوله قرار گرفته، اما موفق به مخفی شدن شده است. او در حالی که مجروح بوده، از سوی ماموران سپاه پاسداران بازداشت شده است.
در تاریخ ۲ مرداد ۱۴۰۰، گروهی از اعضای حزب حیات آزاد کردستان پژاک در ارتفاعات کوهستانی روستای علم آباد بوکان در کمین نیروهای قرارگاه حمزه سیدالشهدا سپاه پاسداران گرفتار شدند. در تاریخ ۵ مرداد خبرگزاری حکومتی از کشته شدن دو عضو یک حزب کُردی و بازداشت یک عضو زخمی این حزب خبر داد. حزب حیات آزاد کردستان نیز در تاریخ ۱۵ مرداد کشته شدن دو عضو خود به نام های ادریس فقیهی و محسن قادری را اعلام کرد، اما پس از مدتی از زنده بودن محسن قادری و دستگیری ادریس فقیهی خبر داد.
