Mona Naqib, an 8-year-old student, was killed by a direct gunshot to the head by government agents from the Ministry of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic in the village of Aspich, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, during the 2022 uprising in Iran.
On October 23, 2022, Mona was on her way to school with her older sister Maryam when she was shot, causing her to drop her hand and fall to the ground. When Maryam asked Mona, "Why did you fall?" Mona replied, "I was shot." Maryam then carried Mona on her back and called their father to take Mona to the hospital. However, Mona passed away in the meantime.
Saeed Tajlili, the governor of Saravan, stated that the killing was not related to agents of the Islamic Republic and suggested that it might have been due to a drug-related issue. Meanwhile, intelligence agents in Saravan summoned Mona's father, Murad, after the incident and threatened him to remain silent.

مونا نقیب دانش آموز ۸ ساله ای بود که در جریان خیزش ۱۴۰۱ ایران در روستای آسپیچ استان سیستان و بلوچستان با شلیک مستقیم مأموران حکومتی وزارت اطلاعات جمهوری اسلامی به ناحیه سرش به قتل رسید.
روز اول آبان 1401 مونا درحالیکه به همراه خواهر بزرگترش مریم درحال رفتن به مدرسه بود تیر می خورد، دستش رها می شود و به زمین می افتاد. وقتی مریم از مونا می پرسد: «چرا افتادی؟» مونا در جواب می گوید: «منو تیر زد». سپس مریم، مونا را به دوش گرفته، به پدرشان زنگ می زند تا مونا را به بیمارستان برساند.اما مونا در این بین فوت می کند.
سعید تجلیلی فرماندار سراوان بیان کرد که این قتل ارتباطی به مأموران جمهوری اسلامی نداشته است و احتمال می رود که به دلیل موضوع مواد مخدر بوده باشد. این درحالی است که مأموران اطلاعات سراوان، مراد پدر مونا را پس از حادثه احضار و تهدید به سکوت کردند.
