Reza Shasi Pour Korkor, from the Bakhtiari tribe and a resident of Izeh in Khuzestan Province, was killed by direct gunfire during the Izeh protests on 8 January 2026. Reports indicate that he participated in the protests at the Helal Ahmar intersection in Izeh, near the city's prayer hall, where he was shot twice in the chest and abdomen, resulting in his death.
His body was transferred to his ancestral village of Takht Kashan in Izeh, where he was buried. The Korkor clan in Izeh has been under pressure from security forces since 2022, following the Women, Life, Freedom protests. Government forces had identified Mojahid Korkor as responsible for the death of Kian Pirfalak and executed him, although Kian's mother had denied this claim.
Friends of Reza have stated that he was unmarried and, despite holding a bachelor's degree, did not have a job matching his education and worked in rebar installation in construction.
