Farshad Ehsani, 36, was shot in the side and face on the evening of January 8 in the Fallah neighborhood of Tehran.
Sources report that the family was contacted on the night of January 9 to come for body identification.
His body was retrieved from Kahrizak on January 10 and was buried the same day at Behesht Zahra in Tehran.
According to informed sources, the burial ceremony was held with limited attendance by family members and a few friends, and no permission was given for setting up a memorial plaque or any formalities.
Farshad Ehsani was originally of Turkic descent and lived in the Abuzar neighborhood of Tehran.
He was an employee in the facilities department of Shafa Yahyaian Hospital in Tehran and had a young daughter. Informed sources also emphasized that his body was released under the designation of "Basiji," although the family disagreed with this classification.
These sources also noted that at his workplace, by order of the security officials, no announcements or pictures of him were allowed to be displayed, and his photos were removed from the walls.

منابع می گویند شب ۱۹ دی با خانواده تماس گرفته شد تا برای شناسایی پیکر مراجعه کنند.
پیکر او در تاریخ ۲۰ دی از کهریزک تحویل گرفته شد و همان روز در بهشت زهرا تهران به خاک سپرده شد.
به گفته منابع آگاه مراسم خاکسپاری با حضور محدود اعضای خانواده و چند تن از دوستان برگزار شد و اجازه نصب پلاکارد حجله یا هرگونه تشریفات داده نشد.
فرشاد احسانی اصالتاً ترک و ساکن محله ابوذر تهران بود.
او کارمند تاسیسات بیمارستان شفا یحیائیان تهران بود و یک دختر خردسال دارد.منابع آگاه همچنین تاکید کرده اند که برای تحویل پیکر او به عنوان «بسیجی» اعلام شده هرچند خانواده با این موضوع موافق نبوده اند.
به گفته این منابع در محل کار او نیز به دستور مسولان حراست اجازه نصب اعلامیه یا تصاویرش داده نشد و عکس های او از دیوار برداشته شد.
