Ali Fatahi was killed by three gunshots during protests in Tehran on 8 January 2026. Initially, he was shot in the thigh, followed by two shots to his side and back, which resulted in his death. It was reported that he was left on the street and was unable to escape the forces' assault.
Relatives of Ali Fatahi have stated that his body, along with others, was transferred to Kahrizak, where it was identified by his family. It has also been reported that his family was compelled to pay a sum for each bullet and to sign a written statement declaring the cause of death as an accident.
Ali Fatahi's body was buried in Behesht-e Zahra, Tehran, on 10 January 2026.
علی فاتحی در تاریخ 18 دی 1404 در اعتراضات تهران به ضرب سه گلوله کشته شد. ابتدا از ناحیه ران پا هدف گلوله قرار گرفت و سپس با شلیک دو گلوله به پهلو و کمرش جان باخت. گزارش شده است که او در کنار خیابان مانده بود و نتوانست از یورش نیروها بگریزد.
نزدیکان علی فاتحی اعلام کرده اند که جسد او همراه با سایر اجساد به کهریزک منتقل شده و در آنجا توسط خانواده اش شناسایی شده است. همچنین گزارش شده است که خانواده او مجبور به پرداخت مبلغی به ازای هر گلوله شده اند و تعهد کتبی برای اعلام علت مرگ به عنوان تصادف از آنها گرفته شده است.
پیکر علی فاتحی در تاریخ 20 دی 1404 در بهشت زهرا تهران به خاک سپرده شد.
