Taher Malekshahi, a child from Qorveh and the son of Sajad Malekshahi, was attacked during public protests in a street near the Razi Laboratory in Qorveh. It has been reported that Taher, who was alone and away from the crowd, sought refuge behind a vehicle out of fear of security forces. After being identified and raising his hands in surrender, he was shot with pellet bullets from a distance of one metre and simultaneously beaten.
Reports indicate that Taher was shot multiple times with a shotgun, leaving over 100 pellets in his face. He initially underwent surgery in Qorveh, but due to the inability of doctors to restore his vision, he was transferred to Tehran. In Tehran's Noor Hospital, he underwent surgery and completely lost his left eye, which had to be removed by doctors.
Despite the efforts of medical professionals, only about 30 percent of the vision in Taher's right eye has been restored.
