On 1 June 2025, Mamosta Luqman Amini, a Sunni citizen residing in Sanandaj, was released from Hamedan Central Prison on bail. The release occurred without details regarding the charges or the bail amount being disclosed.
Mamosta Luqman Amini had been arrested on 21 April 2025 after appearing at the Hamedan Clerical Court's investigation branch, where he was charged with "insulting Shia-Islamic sanctities," and subsequently transferred to Hamedan Prison.
Previously, on 30 January 2023, he was arrested in Marivan by security forces. After being transferred to the Sanandaj Intelligence Detention Centre and undergoing interrogation, he was released on bail on 22 February 2023.
During the judicial process, this Sunni cleric was sentenced by the Hamedan Clerical Court to 11 years of imprisonment, two years of exile to Ardabil, permanent removal of clerical attire, and a ban on delivering Friday sermons. The charges included "propaganda activities against the regime," "possession of a handgun," and "inciting other citizens to riot and murder."
در تاریخ 12 خرداد 1404، ماموستا لقمان امینی، شهروند اهل سنت و ساکن سنندج، از زندان مرکزی همدان با تودیع وثیقه آزاد شد. آزادی وی بدون اشاره به جزئیات اتهامات و میزان وثیقه صورت گرفته است.
ماموستا لقمان امینی در تاریخ 1 اردیبهشت 1404 پس از حضور در شعبه بازپرسی دادسرای روحانیت همدان و تفهیم اتهام "توهین به مقدسات شیعه ـ اسلامی" بازداشت و به زندان همدان منتقل شده بود.
پیش از این، در تاریخ 10 بهمن 1401، وی در مریوان توسط نیروهای امنیتی بازداشت و پس از انتقال به بازداشتگاه اداره اطلاعات سنندج و طی مراحل بازجویی، در تاریخ 3 اسفند 1401 با قید وثیقه آزاد شده بود.
در جریان دادرسی، این روحانی اهل سنت توسط دادگاه روحانیت همدان به اتهامات "فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام"، "نگهداری سلاح کمری" و "تحریک سایر شهروندان به آشوب و کشتار" به 11 سال حبس تعزیری، دو سال تبعید به اردبیل، خلع دائم لباس روحانیت و ممنوعیت از خطبه جمعه محکوم شده بود.
