Nariman is an English teacher. He was shot, arrested, and tortured in Tehran on 6 January 2026 (16 Dey 1404).
He made only one phone call to his sister seven days after his arrest, stating that he was alive. Since then, there has been no information about his condition.
Nariman Hadpour Seraj, originally from Abadan and currently residing in Tehran, was reportedly arrested while alone and detained alongside other protesters. A recently released cellmate has indicated that Nariman was severely beaten to extract a forced confession. It was reported that signs of beating were visible on his body, and he was allegedly struck with a baton and a stun gun. Additionally, it was reported that he was shot in the leg after his arrest, resulting in a burn injury. Videos found on his mobile phone, allegedly showing participation in strikes, have reportedly led to legal proceedings against him.
