According to reports from human rights organisations in Iran, Dana Lanj Abad, a former political prisoner from Marivan, remains in temporary detention. This detention has continued for more than 14 days since his arrest, and he is reportedly deprived of basic rights afforded to a defendant.
Reports indicate that Dana Lanj Abad has had brief contact with his family since his detention. However, he has been prevented from discussing the legal status of his case and is denied access to a lawyer.
Dana Lanj Abad was arrested by security forces in Marivan on 20 February 2024 and was transferred to a detention centre of a security agency in Kurdistan Province for interrogation and case processing.
In 2012, Dana Lanj Abad was sentenced to one year of imprisonment for propaganda activities against the regime and eight months of imprisonment and 50 lashes for disrupting public order.
به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، دانا لنج آباد، زندانی سیاسی پیشین و اهل شهرستان مریوان، همچنان در بازداشت موقت به سر می برد. این بازداشت بیش از ۱۴ روز پس از دستگیری او ادامه دارد و او از حقوق اولیه یک متهم محروم است.
گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که دانا لنج آباد از زمان بازداشت تماس های کوتاهی با خانواده خود داشته است، اما از توضیح وضعیت حقوقی پرونده خود منع شده و از حق دسترسی به وکیل نیز محروم است.
دانا لنج آباد در تاریخ ۱ اسفند ۱۴۰۲ توسط نیروهای امنیتی در شهرستان مریوان دستگیر و برای بازجویی و تشکیل پرونده به بازداشتگاه یکی از نهادهای امنیتی استان کردستان منتقل شد.
در سال ۱۳۹۱، دانا لنج آباد به اتهام فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام به یک سال حبس تعزیری و به اتهام اخلال در نظم عمومی به هشت ماه حبس تعزیری و ۵۰ ضربه شلاق محکوم شده بود.
