The individual and several members of the Baha'i community in Shiraz were arrested around December 2016 and later released on bail. In June 2022, the First Branch of the Shiraz Revolutionary Court sentenced the individual to two years of imprisonment, a two-year travel ban with passport cancellation, and daily reporting to the intelligence office. The charges included assembly and collusion with the intent to act against security and activities related to the Baha'i community. The Fars Province Court of Appeal reduced the sentence to six months of imprisonment and a two-year travel ban.
On 21 November 2022, the individual was arrested at home without prior summons while caring for their elderly mother to serve the six-month sentence and was transferred to Adelabad Prison in Shiraz. On 29 January 2023, the individual was conditionally released after serving approximately half of the sentence. Their status was recorded as "released." In October 2026, the individual was summoned again to the First Branch of the Shiraz Revolutionary Court.

در ۳۰ آبان ۱۴۰۱، او بدون احضاریه قبلی و در حالی که از مادر سالمندش نگهداری می کرد، برای اجرای حکم شش ماهه در خانه بازداشت و به زندان عادل آباد شیراز منتقل شد. در ۹ بهمن ۱۴۰۱، پس از تحمل حدود نیمی از محکومیت، به صورت مشروط آزاد شد. وضعیت او به عنوان «آزادشده» ثبت شده است. در مهر ۱۴۰۵ بار دیگر به شعبه اول دادگاه انقلاب شیراز احضار شد.
