Arian Azizi was arrested in Kerman on 17 January 2026. According to received information, he and three friends encountered street gatherings while returning from a sports club and remained at the location for a period. Subsequently, Basij forces directed a group of those present into a dead-end alley and arrested them all.
Since his arrest, Arian Azizi has been held at a temporary detention centre in Kerman, located adjacent to Kerman Prison. He is allowed visits twice a week.
According to his family, the status of his case and judicial determination have not yet been clarified. Despite the family's efforts, the opportunity to appoint a lawyer has not been provided. It has been reported that several charges were proposed to him and other detainees late last week, and they were informed that accepting one of the charges would expedite the referral of the case to court, a suggestion opposed by the family.

آرین عزیزی از زمان بازداشت در بازداشتگاه موقت کرمان، واقع در مجاورت زندان کرمان، نگهداری می شود. او هفته ای دو روز امکان ملاقات دارد.
به گفته خانواده، تاکنون وضعیت پرونده و تعیین تکلیف قضایی او مشخص نشده است. همچنین با وجود پیگیری های خانواده، امکان انتخاب وکیل فراهم نشده است. بنا بر این گزارش، در اواخر هفته گذشته چند عنوان اتهامی به او و دیگر بازداشت شدگان پیشنهاد شده و به آن ها گفته شده در صورت پذیرش یکی از اتهامات، روند ارجاع پرونده به دادگاه سریع تر انجام خواهد شد؛ موضوعی که با مخالفت خانواده روبه رو شده است.
