On December 28 2025 Mohammad Salehi a Sunni religious activist and resident of Keltegeh village in the Bukan district was sentenced to a total of 6 years of imprisonment by the judge of Branch 2 of the Revolutionary Court of Urmia. He has been detained and held without clear charges in the central prison of Urmia the capital of West Azerbaijan Province.
According to the verdict issued by the judge of Branch 2 of the Revolutionary Court of Urmia Mohammad Salehi was sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment for "membership in illegal groups with the intent to disrupt national security" and 1 year for "propaganda activities against the regime."
It is noteworthy that the trial regarding the indictment against Mohammad Salehi was held in early December 2025 by the judge of Branch 2 of the Revolutionary Court of Urmia.
Mohammad Salehi was arrested by security forces in March 2025 in Bukan and was transferred to the central detention facility of one of the security agencies in Urmia. During this time he was deprived of his basic rights to choose and access a lawyer of his choice as a defendant. در ۷دی ماه ۱۴۰۴ طی روزهای گذشته محمد صالحی ساکن روستای کلتگه از توابع شهرستان بوکان فعال مذهبی اهل سنت محبوس و بلاتکلیف در زندان مرکزی ارومیه مرکز استان آذربایجان غربی توسط قاضی شعبه ۲دادگاه انقلاب ارومیه در مجموع به تحمل ۶ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شد.
براساس دادنامه صادره توسط قاضی شعبه ۲ دادگاه انقلاب ارومیه؛ محمد صالحی از بابت اتهام «عضویت در جمعیت گروههابا دسته جات غیرقانونی به قصد برهم زدن امنیت کشور» به تحمل ۵ سال حبس تعزیری و به اتهام «فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام» هم به تحمل ۱ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شده است.
لازم به ذکر است جلسه دادرسی به کیفرخواست صادره بر علیه محند صالحی در اوایل دی ماه ۱۴۰۴ توسط قاضی شعبه ۲ دادگاه انقلاب ارومیه برگزار شده بود.
محمد صالحی دراسفند ماه ۱۴۰۳ توسط نیروهای امنیتی در شهرستان بوکان دستگیر و پس از انتقال به بازداشتگاه مرکزی یکی از نهادهای امنیتی استان آذربایجان غربی در شهر ارومیه در حالی که از حقوق اولیه خود برای انتخاب و دسترسی به وکیل مورد نظر خود بعنوان یک متهم محروم شده بود تحت بازجویی گرفت و با همین شرایط توسط بازپرس شعبه دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب ارومیه تفهیم اتهام شده بود. لینک خبر
