Pouria Hosseini-Mofrad, who was arrested during the protests in January 2026, has been sentenced to death by Branch Five of the Revolutionary Court in Mashhad. He is currently being held in Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad.
Hosseini-Mofrad was arrested on 14 January 2026 in Mashhad and, after undergoing interrogation and judicial procedures, was transferred to Vakilabad Prison. His death sentence was issued approximately one month ago by Branch Five of the Revolutionary Court in Mashhad.
The charges against him include actions against national security, assembly and collusion, and operational activities disrupting the country's security. It is also claimed in the case that his actions were in support of an opposition group.
The specific allegations include breaking the glass of a bus station and setting fire to shrubs following participation in a protest call.

حسینی مفرد در تاریخ 24 دی ماه 1404 در مشهد بازداشت و پس از طی مراحل بازجویی و قضایی به زندان وکیل آباد منتقل شد. حکم اعدام او حدود یک ماه پیش توسط شعبه پنجم دادگاه انقلاب مشهد صادر شده است.
اتهامات مطرح شده علیه او شامل اقدام علیه امنیت ملی، اجتماع و تبانی و اقدام عملیاتی مخل امنیت کشور عنوان شده است. همچنین در پرونده ادعا شده که اقدامات منتسب به او در حمایت از یکی از گروه های اپوزیسیون انجام شده است.
مصادیق اتهامات مطرح شده شامل شکستن شیشه یک ایستگاه اتوبوس و آتش زدن شمشادها پس از شرکت در یک فراخوان اعتراضی عنوان شده است.
