Sajjad Veysi

After four months of detention in Dizel-Abad Prison in Kermanshah (Kermashan), he remains imprisoned and has been charged with "enmity against God" (moharebeh). He is at risk of receiving severe sentences, including the death penalty. Sajjad, the brother of Meysam and Mojtaba Veysi-two well-known Kurdish cultural activists who were killed by direct fire from Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces in Dalahu-is facing this situation. His judicial case has been referred to the Kermanshah Revolutionary Court on the serious charge of moharebeh. This security-related accusation has reportedly been brought against this Yarsan citizen based on fabricated scenarios by security agencies and confessions obtained under torture, raising serious concerns among his family about the possibility of a death sentence being issued against him.

A Kurdish citizen from Kermanshah and a follower of the Yarsan faith, was arrested by forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran during public protests and transferred to an undisclosed location.
